For most patients, being seen at the Practice is the best option for them. We are keen to ensure that we make the best use of clinical staff, ensuring they are deployed appropriately where clinically need is greatest.
If you are housebound and need a routine appointment please phone the surgery (02380333326) as soon as possible Monday – Friday after 08:00 and before 10:30 to make your request.
You may only request a home visit if you are truly housebound. Examples of this may include:
-Terminally ill patients.
-Truly bedbound patients.
-Patients so poorly that they would be harmed if moved.
The GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires this and will also decide how urgently a home visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule home visits.
You can also be visited at home by a community district nurse if you are referred by your GP.
